Description:
The Dvorak & Brahms series, which has been recorded by Czech conductor Jakub Hruscha, born in Brno, Czech Republic, conducting the prestigious Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, of which he has been Chief Conductor since 2016, is now complete with two simultaneous releases! This is the first time the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra has recorded the complete Brahms: Symphonies since Horst Stein (1997). The orchestra's warm sound and moderate tempi allowed the melodies to sing freely, and Fulscher's music-making respected the traditions of the orchestra. The violins are arranged on both wings, and repeats of the first movement are used in No. 1 and No. 2 to create music of a large scale. The Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, which is associated with the Czech Republic, has not recorded many of Dvořák's symphonies, with the exception of a few. The Bohemian folkloric music of the Seventh is presented in its entirety in a way that is uniquely Frusha's. (C)RS
