Masuda Masahiro
Description:
Masahiro Masuda, one of Japan's leading guitarists, released his 7th CD with FONTEC, "SONATA" (FOCD9455) featuring Baroque and modern sonatas, and "BACH on Guitar" (FOCD9482) boldly challenging Bach's works, which were both praised by Record Geijutsu magazine (Special Mention). The year 2010 was truly a year of breakthroughs for Masuda, who released two critically acclaimed albums in rapid succession, including "BACH on Guitar" (FOCD9482), which boldly tackled Bach's works. To build on this momentum, Masuda is proud to present a series of masterpieces associated with the Andalusia region of Spain. As symbolized by the Alhambra Palace, Andalusia is a region with a colorful culture that retains a strong Islamic atmosphere, and from the late 19th to the early 20th century, the region produced many talented composers of the "National Music School" who were greatly influenced by the unique climate. This album includes "Memories of the Alhambra," one of the most famous guitar pieces for Japanese people, and is a collection of "masterpieces" that is well worth listening to.
