Description:
Nippon's Western Music Series] "Guitar Man" Duane Eddy's rare reissue of Ventures songs and Japanese pop songs by Yuzo Kayama and others! Duane Eddy, the king of rock instrumentals who dominated the charts with his twangy style and influenced Ry Cooder and many other technical guitar players, tries his hand at Japanese songs! The Ventures released "Futari no Ginza" as an instrumental single, and the vocal version by Masako Izumi and Ken Yamauchi became a big hit, followed by Yuzo Kayama's "Aoi Hoshikuzu" and "Oyome ni Come", Mike Maki's "Rose is in Bloom", and many other hit numbers from Japan around 1966. The long-awaited CD release of the "Dynamic Guitar in Tokyo" album, with the addition of the 1967 album "The Roaring Twangies", is now available! Nippon no Western Music Series] All Days Records has started a new series of reissues of albums by Western artists with close ties to Japan, including special editions of Japanese songs covered by foreign musicians and live recordings of their performances in Japan.
