Vol. 7: That's What Happened 1982-1985" is the seventh volume in The Bootleg Series, featuring previously unreleased recordings by Miles Davis. This project has been released since 2011, the 85th anniversary of Miles' birth. This project, the seventh in the series, focuses on Miles during his resurgence after a six-year period of temporary retirement beginning in 1975. Approximately four hours of previously unreleased material has been newly mastered and released for the first time. DISC1 and DISC2 of the 3 CD set will contain previously unreleased studio takes of "Star People," "Decoy," and "Your Under Arrest," and DISC3 will contain live recordings from the Montreal Jazz Festival on July 7, 1983.
