Gary Moore started his career as a professional musician in the rock band Skid Row. It was here that he met Phil Lynott, who would go on to influence him in many ways throughout his musical career. Gary Moore joined Phil Lynott's Thin Lizzy in 1974, and although he did not become an official member, he participated in recording and touring. He then joined John Heisman's Colosseum II in 1976, where he gained attention as a high-tech guitarist. At the request of his old friend Phil Lynott, he joined Thin Lizzy, recorded the album "Black Rose", and started touring. The Australian tour in October 1978 was the prelude to Thin Lizzy's first world tour, the , which started with the release of the album in February 1979, and was recorded for the video release and later sold. Gary Moore left the band just before the Japan tour in September of the following year.This time, the live performance in Sydney on October 29, 1978, has been remastered and released following the discovery of the audio master for the video production. The setlist for the show was 13 songs including encores, and this live album consists of the 8 songs that were included in the video. The album features Gary Moore's technical guitar solos throughout, while Scott Gorham and the band's brilliant twin lead guitar performance is superb!
