Zool, Gremlin Interactive's interdimensional ninja platformer, returns to original Sega Mega Drive hardware in a definitive boutique physical edition produced by 33 Games. The Premium Collector's Edition is the deluxe essential edition of the release, designed for Mega Drive collectors who want to own the game on cartridge in a beautifully presented format.

Built around a newly manufactured 32MB Mega Drive cartridge and housed in a classic clamshell case, the edition has been developed by 33 Games with a boutique approach to physical publishing. Heritage, presentation and permanence have been balanced in equal measure. From the printed materials to the finishing touches, every component has been chosen to create a release that feels considered on the shelf and satisfying in the hand.

The release is officially licensed through Umbra Dynamics on behalf of the rights holder Urbanscan. Artwork for this edition has been worked on with the original Gremlin-era creative contributors, including illustrator Ric Lumb on key character art. This is a properly authorised reissue, not an unlicensed reproduction.

The Premium Collector's Edition is one of two Zool editions in the 33 Games programme. The companion Ultimate Archive Edition contains the full Premium Collector's Edition plus an archive-grade box, a Bitmap Books hardcover, the soundtrack on cassette, a numbered certificate, a collector's coin and a presentation wallet. For the buyer whose primary interest is the game itself, the Premium edition is the right format.

Q: Will this Zool cartridge work on my Sega Genesis / Mega Drive console?
A: Yes. The cartridge is region free. The same cart runs on Sega Mega Drive (PAL and Japan) and Sega Genesis (US) without an adapter. It will also run on most third-party and clone consoles capable of accepting Mega Drive / Genesis cartridges (Sega Nomad, Mega Sg, RetroN-style multi-console clones and similar).

Q: Is this an original 1993 cartridge or a newly produced one?
A: Newly produced. The cartridge in this edition has been newly manufactured by 33 Games for original Sega Mega Drive hardware. It is not a pulled or refurbished 1993 cart. This makes the release a contemporary boutique reissue rather than an aftermarket repackaging of vintage stock.

Q: Is this release officially licensed?

The Ultimate Archive Edition contains the full Premium Collector's Edition plus a deluxe archive-grade presentation box, the Bitmap Books "A Gremlin in the Works" hardcover, the "Music of the Nth Dimension" translucent green audio cassette, a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity, a 50mm heavyweight Zool collector's coin and a die-cut coin presentation wallet. The Ultimate Archive Edition is the scarcer of the two editions, with both being strictly limited boutique production runs.

Q: Will the Premium Collector's Edition be reprinted after it sells out?
A: No. 33 Games positions the Zool editions as strictly limited boutique releases, produced in a single UK production run with an explicit edition cap. Once the cap is reached and the run closes, the edition is closed and is not designed for reprint.

Q: What is the foil Zool trading card included with early orders?
A: A strictly limited foiled collector's card produced exclusively for the initial reservation window. It is included only with qualifying early orders during that window and will not be sold separately afterwards. Final card design may differ from the preview image shown on the 33 Games site.

Q: Can I add the Zool companion products (pin, trading card set, cassette, vinyl) to this order?
