It grows well in cool to mild weather, prefers full sunlight to partial shade, and is suitable for 8-12 inch pots, grow bags, raised beds, and garden beds with loose, well-drained soil.
Popular worldwide as a nutritious root vegetable, it is valued for its rich colour, earthy flavour, and easy growth in home vegetable gardens.

Where to Grow:
Steps:
Why are my beetroot roots small?
Overcrowding, hard soil, or too much nitrogen may prevent root development. Thin early and use loose, compost-rich soil.
Why are my beetroot leaves turning yellow or pale?
This may be due to nutrient deficiency. Apply seaweed spray or use a balanced fertilizer like NPK 20-20-20.
Why are roots cracking or splitting?
Usually caused by uneven watering. Keep soil consistently moist — avoid letting it dry out completely, then soaking.
Can beetroot grow in partial sunlight?
It needs at least 4–5 hours of direct sunlight daily for proper root formation. Full sun is best. Yes — beet leaves are edible and nutritious. Use them like spinach or mix into saag.
