This vintage skirt suit from LIHLI for Saks Fifth Avenue is made in an 80% wool and 20% rayon yarn, which is the same blend that comprises St. John's signature "santana" knit, beloved for keeping its shape and resisting wrinkles. The open jacket has red, white and blue trim around the openings, across the shoulders and down the sleeves, and on the pockets. The pull-on pencil skirt has an elastic waist, and the same trim on the jacket runs down the sides of the skirt. We are dating this suit to the latter half of the 1980s. Both pieces are labeled US size 8. This is a vintage size, so it might vary from a modern size 8. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding size.
