Wild  oregano oil  is a rich source of vitamins A and C, flavonoids and phenols, including carvacrol, which is a well-known aroma of oregano . 

The content of carvacrol depends on the plant chemotypes, subspecies, but also on the region, the quality of the harvest, the plant parts used, and even the exact time of oregano harvesting.

The most popular are oregano oils with a carvacrol content of 60%-70%. Higher concentrations can only be obtained using innovative rectification processes. Rectification, also called fractional distillation - from a physical point of view, it is a cascade (multi-level) distillation in which each stage of the process is fed with the product (distillate) of the previous process. This process is repeated until the expected concentration is obtained.

Oils with the addition of synthetic carvacrol

There are also oils that are mixtures of natural oregano oils with synthetic carvacol obtained from D-limonene. Synthetic oils have a different smell and taste. Oregano oils, available as a mix of natural and synthetic carvacrol, contain up to 35% natural and 65% synthetic carvacrol. In addition to the difference in taste and smell, oregano oil containing an admixture of synthetic carquacrole is also poorer in other valuable ingredients naturally occurring in the plant .

Aliness Dzikie  Oregano Oil Strong  is 100% natural oregano oil with a high content of  90% carvacrol . The product contains  only natural carvacrol , and such a high concentration was achieved thanks to the use of only a physical rectification process, i.e. fractionation based on the relative volatility of ingredients and the use of appropriate parts of the highest quality plants. None are used during production.

Rectification is a completely physical process, which means that no additional chemicals are used. The oregano oil obtained in this way is free from residues of harmful solvents used during traditional solvent extractions.

One capsule contains 144 mg of natural oregano oil (including 130 mg of natural carvacrol) and 126 mg of extra virgin olive oil.
