These extraordinary bighorn sheep, two of the largest ever recorded in the Alberta Rockies, are more than wildlife icons, they embody the rugged soul of this province. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Lougheed in Alberta’s Kananaskis Country, they stand as a living symbol of our pride, resilience, and wild beauty.

I chose these animals not only for their raw power and presence, but because they capture the untamed spirit of Alberta—free, strong, and unapologetically Albertan.
