Bank Note's famous blending expertise brought to Irish Whiskey.

A. D. Rattray has been an independent bottler of Whisky since 1868. Since those early times they have distributed dozens of classic malt Whisky brands and created a few of their own, sourced from the smaller boutique distilleries of Scotland. They are not only an independent distributor and bottler, they are also historians and keepers of the faith via their "Whisky Experience" facility in South Ayrshire. These days their house brands include the uniquely re-born and revitalized Stronachie, Cask Islay, Bank Note, and their famous Cask Collection series of specially sourced individual barrels of Scotland’s most famous Single Malts.

The Bank Note brand was created by James Sword & Sons in 1810. He crafted the original from his personal collection of Scotch Whiskies. The brand has been under the careful stewardship of A. D. Rattray and the Morrison Family, and it was only natural that the Bank Note line should be extended to include Irish Whiskey as well.

Bank Note 5 Year Old Blended Irish Whiskey is a rich blend of 40% premium Irish Single Malts and 60% Irish grain Whiskies. The blend is aged for five years in American oak and bottled at 43% ABV.
