This hand-knotted wool vintage Tabriz rug showcases a beautiful garden design.
Featuring a compartmental panel design display a grid arrangement of five
columns and six rows of rectangular tiles with ornate pictorial designs.
Alternating throughout are delicate filigree scroll motifs, mihrab niches with
tree of life designs, lush gardens, and scenes of grazing deer and other fauna.
It is framed by an alternating cartouche border with accents of flower blossoms
and vines; two thin cartouche style guard bands enclose the main border.
Rendered in variegated shades of brown, tan, taupe, beige, ecru, coffee, black,
burnt umber, burnt orange, rust, cerulean and sky blue. Distressed. Desirable Age Wear. Antique Wash. Abrash. Hand-knotted in wool.
