The Conway Stewart Dinkie 540 was introduced in 1931 and was much more of a traditionally shaped English lever filler than the later 550 and 560 models.

This example is finished in marbled pink/burgundy with Gold filled clip. lever, and cap band.  The surface is excellent and the imprints are crisp  and clear.  There is very minor plating loss at the edges of the end of the clip.

The pen has been restored to full working condition.  The filling system works well and the 14 Ct. Gold Conway Stewart nib writes with an extra fine line, ideally suited to someone with a small 'hand'.

The Dinkie box has seen better days but it is the original box and should be kept with the pen.
