This course enables delegates to become competent to drive MEWPs safely and in the correct manner. Upon successful completion, delegates will be issued with an IPAF PAL card that is recognised by the HSE, CITB, HAE and the Major Contractors Group (MCG). It also satisfies the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the PUWER regulations 1998.
Our IPAF Operator courses instruct how to prepare and safely use various types of access platforms, including scissor and boom lifts. You will be trained in the correct operation of the equipment, how to carry out a pre-inspection, emergency descent operations as well as being given an understanding of employers and employees responsibilities.
Our IPAF Operator courses offer the option of e-learning, which allows you to complete the theory element online, reducing the time spent at our training centre to around half a day. Book onto the IPAF Operator E-learning course.
Anyone who operates a mobile elevating work platform requires a PAL card and this must be renewed every 5 years. Over 90,000 MEWP operators are trained every year worldwide through IPAF’s network of approved training centres, of which GT Access is one.
