Material Inspection

• Natural Variations: Since marble is a natural product, expect differences in color, pattern, texture, and veining from what is pictured.
• Pre-Installation Inspection: Before starting installation, carefully inspect each tile for defects like chipped edges or broken pieces. No adjustments or services will be provided after installation begins.

Installation Instructions

1. Dry-Fit First: Lay out the pattern without adhesive to visualize the cuts and placement, especially for tiles with a lot of variation.
2. Thinset Mortar:
   • Use white thinset mortar to avoid altering the tile’s color.
   • For a quicker installation, use rapid-curing thinset.
3. Adhesive Application:
   • Only apply adhesive to an area you can cover within 10-15 minutes.
   • Ensure a minimum grout joint of 1/16", not a butt set.
   • Use a 3/16" or 1/4" square notch trowel for even application.
   • Smooth ridges with the flat side of the trowel before laying the tile.

Grouting Guidelines

• Non-sanded grout is recommended to prevent scratching the stone.
• Test a small area to ensure the grout won’t scratch the surface.
• Fill grout joints completely, leaving no pits or voids.
• Clean off excess grout as you go, ensuring it doesn't harden.
• Avoid using acid-based cleaners to remove grout haze.
• Smooth grout joints with a damp sponge during the final cleaning.
• For easier cleaning and stain protection, apply grout release before grouting.

Sealing

• After installation, apply a high-quality breathable stone sealer to protect against water absorption, efflorescence, and staining.
• A color enhancer can be applied after grouting to bring out the stone’s natural color.
• Reseal as necessary, particularly if the stone darkens over time.

Cutting

• Use a wet-saw with a continuous rim diamond blade designed for marble.
• Avoid using “turbo” or notched blades, as they may cause chipping.

Care and Maintenance

• Clean with a neutral cleaner, stone soap, or mild dishwashing detergent mixed with warm water.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to avoid streaks or film.
• Avoid using acidic cleaners (e.g., lemon, vinegar) or abrasive products, which can damage marble or limestone.
