We've been waiting for a quality Donegal Tweed to complete our offerings and here it is...soft, vibrant, interesting and subtle...everything a tweed should offer.

Classic Donegal Tweed, spun and dyed according to the old tradition in Ireland. As a consequence of production methods variations in length and breaking strength may occur, this is characteristic of this original wool tweed.

This Lang Donegal Tweed is rather fine for a double knit weight and could certainly be used as a sport weight so be sure to swatch first and wash and block to get your correct pattern gauge.

Weight: DK / Light Worsted - or Sport on smaller diameter needles
Texture: Nubby / Tweedy
Fibre composition:  100% Virgin Wool (Merino)
Needles: 3.5mm - 4mm or as pattern suggests
Gauge: 22 sts per 10cm knitted swatch on 4mm needles or as pattern recommends
Meterage; 189m per 50g ball
Care: Hand wash. Use detergent for wool wash without softener!
