This elegant 1940's cream crepe silk dress, accented by cream and black embroidered soutache which is in turn embellished with white rocailles beaded tassels,  is the perfect piece for your vintage collection. 

The Mandarin style collar, draws in along the front of the neckline with a small hook and loop, and is embellished with trailing soutache embroidery and beaded tassels. The decorative collar panel continues along the front of the décolletage where the hook and loop fastening creates a key hole design. The simple shoulder line, sets off the wide inset short cut sleeves. The bodice, is accented by tailored darts along the bust-line, which draw the eye to the fitted and cinched in waistline. The silhouette of the skirt-line is set off by a cross over cut, accented by 4 sewn pleats along the left hand side of the hipline, from which pleats drape along the length, setting off the elegant pleated side sash, which fastens along the back of the left hand side hipline. This flattering design, draws the eye to the female form, whilst accenting the hipline.  Finished with a simple silhouette, this mesmerising 1940's dress showcases the iconic design of the era.

Closures: This dress fastens along the side with a concealed 11 inch metal , 3 press studs along the back of the hipline and a hook and loop along the front of the neckline. 

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. There is a very faint age mark along the front right hand side of the keyhole neckline amongst the soutache embroidery. There is an age mark along the back left hand side of the waistline. These are minor and not overly apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection.Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report. 

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
