These ponchos are made from 100% certified recycled polyester, which is very different from virgin polyester. Recycled polyester uses rPET (plastic bottles) as the raw material. Recycling these bottles into new material so it doesn’t end up in landfills.  Creating a product that leaves nominal waste, consumes limited energy and water, and causes very little pollution, while supporting workers rights, fair wages, circularity and climate change initiatives.
