This blue and black floral print cotton, late 1950s dress (or early 1960s dress) has a mid-century fit-and-flare shape, with a fitted, sleeveless bodice and a flared skirt. The curving V-neckline is trimmed with two black velvet ribbons, and you can cinch the waist with the matching fabric belt. The length of the flared skirt is rather short for the era, so the dress was most likely owned by a relatively petite person, originally it does not appear to have been shortened recently. The dress fastens with a side metal zipper, and has one hidden, side seam pocket in the skirt. The cotton floral fabric is crisp and bright. This sweet 1950s-60s day dress is in excellent condition with no flaws to note. Our last photo shows the dress unpinned from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size.
