This truly breathtaking 1960's silver lurex brocade dress and matching coat ensemble, embellished with borders of silver glass beadwork, silver claw set rhinestones, pearls and silver plastic beads, is just the set for that special occasion.  

The white rounded neckline of the dress, is framed by a sparkling border of beadwork. the simple shoulder line, sets off the short length sleeves, which are in turn edged with matching beaded borders. The elegant A line silhouette of the dress, is accented by tailored Princess seams, which run from either side of the bust-line to the hemline. The dress is fully lined in cream nylon edged with lace.  

The matching coat boasts a stylised Mandarin collar, which is embellished with a border of matching beadwork. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves, which are edged with matching beaded borders along each cuff. The elegant straight cut of the coat, is accented by tailored darts along the bust-line. Finished with a central beaded panel concealing the press stud fastenings. This coat is fully lined in cream nylon.

Condition: The dress set is in near perfect vintage condition. Very gentle and faint yellowing along the edges of the armholes of the dress. The coat has a very small age mark along the front left hand side yoke, this is very faint and well concealed within the lurex brocade. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress and coat are being worn and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
