Description:

Known as one of the most important artists of the prestigious Warp label, Nightmares on Wax has made a name for itself worldwide with the release of "Smokers Delight" and "Carboot Soul" in the 90s, which are still talked about as historical classics, and the lo-fi funk album "In A Space Outta Sound" (2006), which was a long hit in Japan. Nightmares on Wax, who made a name for themselves internationally with "In A Space Outta Sound" (2006), have produced their first album in five years in Ibiza, their current base of operations, with a group of talented musicians from all over the world. The first 10 seconds of 'So Here We Are' (Trk. 1) grabs the listener's attention, while 'Masterplan' (Trk. 3) is based on trip-hop soul and features California folk singer Katie Gray. The moving 'Give Thx' (Trk.6), which evokes the vibes of 70's Motown, and 'Eye (Can't See)' (Trk.7), which weaves an unusual Latin groove, both songs feature Moses, who is also an active member of Zero 7. The two tracks, 'Eye (Can't See)' (Trk. 7) and 'Eye (Can't See)' (Trk. 8), feature Moses, who also plays on Zero 7.Om Sweet H(om)e' (Trk.10), which loops a Tibetan monk's sutra and sends it flying into space, is majestic! Sebastian Studnizky, arranger for Jazzanova, handles the orchestration and strings, and plays keyboards with George's friend Robin Taylor-Fifth, as well as with Pat Metheny.
